Strong demand over the last twelve months from the warehouse, distribution and post and parcel sectors has led to 45% growth for Conveyor Units, who manufacture conveyor modules in Lye and a five acre site in Stourport-on-Severn.
Ian Bytheway, Finance Director at Conveyor Units, explains that – having invested in new plant and equipment, including a powder coating plant and curing oven – the company was ready to meet the orders resulting from rising export sales and new contracts some of which has been fuelled by rising online spending.
Production problems are minimised by strict selection of raw material suppliers, ensuring the manufacture of very high quality products.
Following the celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2013, Conveyor Units has increased its workforce by 15 to 135, specially trained & skilled engineers and technicians and six apprentices.
