Made in the Midlands members created 800 new jobs last year

Charles Addison of Made in the Midlands noted at the end of July that though the media have been ‘very keen to feature downcast manufacturing bosses on their programmes’, Made in the Midlands’ members recorded their best trading period last year:

“We represent around £1.8bn of regional manufacturing turnover and between them our 270 members created 800 new jobs last year. We still have our major manufacturing clusters, world-leading technology and a very lean and hungry market.”

Made in the Midlands will be holding its third annual awards for members on the 19th October – details later. The expanding group of manufacturing and engineering companies supports and champions local industry.
